Mondays and this coffee shop tends to brew the work and ideas of Jesus within me.
Have you ever thought much about what you’re thinking of? Inward cleanup has been what I have had going on. God is showing me that I am a wreck without Him. Sometimes you and I fall captive to believing we are “good” as long as we do not cuss or commit the sins many people look at in disgust. Friend, Jesus gives us friendly reminders that we are not good without Him. Each and every one of us has such a desperate need for Jesus. If our eyes are blinded by our false idea of goodness, we will miss out on seeing HIS glory! Only Jesus can clean us and purify us.
I am still amazed at the fact that our thoughts are trains. They will go somewhere. What are your thoughts and where are they heading? If our immediate thoughts are not true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, or praiseworthy, then we must halt them by speaking the Name of Jesus.
Philippians 4:8 (CSB) shares, “Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy—dwell on these things.”
We must know the Word of God for ourselves. Jesus has given us His words as a defense against all the attacks of the world and the realm of darkness. Jesus’ Name and the Word of God is our spiritual armor. Are you preparing for battle daily by putting on prayer and the Word of God?
Jesus is for you more than you could ever realize. He is interested in forming a godly heritage through you.
As a new university college girl, I have beheld many conversations around the topics of boys, relationships, and dating.
Jesus is showing me the beauty of everyday moments with Him. I am realizing how tactful and evil the devil truly is. Satan is the father of lies. There is no truth in him. On the flip side of that, our Father Jesus is only going to tell us truth.
In case you have been trying to make plans happen on your own, in case you have been questioning your worth, in case you have been focused on the future and missing out on the now, LISTEN UP!
There will always be a “next” step of life we look forward to. I pray your eyes are opened to see the beauty in today and that your heart leaps over the fact that today is a miracle. Today is a gift.
THIS MOMENT IS THE ONLY ONE WHERE GOD IS GOING TO MEET YOU NOW.
He is going to keep walking with you minute by minute.
Don’t miss out on the gentleness, faithfulness, and favor of God because of the enemy distracting you on all the things you have yet to receive.
Jesus is better than them all. Better than all the things our hearts cry out for. Jesus does not dismiss your longings. He just wants to consume you and be your greatest longing above all others.
Beautifully and powerfully written, as usual! I love your picture at the bottom of your post -stunning! Haley, I know you are a prayer warrior. Please pray for me and seven others from my church as we leave on November 10th for a 14 day journey to Rwanda, Africa to teach English and computer skills to a group of about twenty-five pastors. We are partnering with Rwanda Challenge and it is the most amazing opportunity. I am so excited! I ask for prayers specifically for the health and safety of our team. Bless you!

Mrs. Jennifer, the timing of receiving your comment was indescribable! I was just in a class talking about mission trips and how we can best help people of different communities. I will be praying for you and the others who are alongside of you as you equip and minister to those who lead their communities to Christ! I am so excited for you and thankful for your heart for Jesus! He is using you! Thank you for your encouragement to me as well!
