In looking up facts about bumble bees, I was reminded of their importance. Bees can seem annoying with the ways they are always hovering around us, but their jobs help produce our vegetation. Without bees, flowers and many plants would lack growth. Bees are devoted to the ruler of their hives, live in community with their bee friends, and travel from flower to flower seeking sweet pollen. As bees travel from one plant to another, they are being fed and bettering the wellbeing of what they land on.
I can’t help but think of us. Are our lives devoted to the One who made us? Are we actively looking for ways to fill ourselves with God’s truth, His love, His Word, and time with Him in prayer?
The journey of your life matters. Every trip outside of your home is an opportunity to see God and share Him. Every person you meet is needing the Hope within you. You have a role in changing the world one person and one step of obedience at a time.
Let’s be on the lookout for ways we can serve God better and daily. How are we loving the people in our homes? How have you seen God use you to beautify and nourish people around you?
YOU are a key player in making God’s love evident in the world. You shine so bright for Him. Jesus does not ignore your needs as you strive to serve Him. The Lord recognizes our weaknesses and wants to provide us with everything we need. The Lord will provide for the missions He calls us to go on.
Today I am reminded that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) shares, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
In being cooped up inside of our homes, it is easy to start feeling weary or stir-crazy. I challenge you to not grow weary in doing good today. Don’t lose hope just because this time is hard. God is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him.
Do you want to receive a reward for cultivating faithfulness in this time? There is no better rewarder than God our Savior. Keep seeking after God. He will show up.
“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” -Hebrews 10:35-36 (NIV)
