Live Abundantly

Seasons of trial are sometimes necessary for seasons of growth.

The month of January was a hard month for me. I was struggling with things I shouldn’t have been worrying about. I wondered how I was going to get through the next day and looked at the week as a giant standing before me.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” -John 10:10 KJV

There is so much hope in this verse. Jesus didn’t come and die for us so that we would just “get through” each day. He came so that we could wake up joyful in His promises, know how big and mighty He is, watch Him remove our giants, free our hearts from worry and fear, live by His side, learn His character, be close to His heart, and share Him everywhere we go.

My life motto here lately has been live abundantly. I’m constantly reminding myself that I need to truly live and make the most of the life Jesus has given to me. The word abundance means a very large quantity of something. When you’re feeling depleted of life, turn to the Giver of life. He restores our souls and gives us the strength we need for every minute of the day.

This season of trial and testing you’re in isn’t going to last forever. It may seem like you’re stuck in the middle of darkness and chaos right now, but Jesus is offering you a way out. His timing doesn’t always line up with ours, but He has a divine purpose for you being where you’re at. He wants you to grow in your faith as you watch Him remove all of your fears. Know that nothing is too big for God and nothing is impossible with Him. Keep seeking Jesus with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength. I promise that He will reveal Himself to you as you pursue Him.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” -Jeremiah 29:13 NIV

Each trial that you face is another opportunity to share and show Jesus to your peers. The world is watching us. As believers, we have something that the world doesn’t, and the way we live our lives should show that. Let’s be real, loving, courageous, bold, and strong this week. It’s time for us to be the generation that steps up and leads wholeheartedly while being led by God.
