Hey, friend! I hope you are living abundantly in Christ. Not just surviving, going through your daily routine, tired, and counting down the days until your next break. I look back on the month of November in my planner and stand amazed at the supernatural strength God gave me. My days were booked with trips, photo shoots, school events, church, and family time. All of those things bring me joy, but I can easily struggle to have Christ as my highest priority whenever I am involved in so many different things.
My spirit has recently been attacked in a way I am not used to. I have been fighting darkness in the form of classmates and peers. I am extremely burdened for people I love and care for who are blinded to God’s light. Honestly, this spiritual battle has been something the enemy has attempted to use to distract me from living out God’s purpose for my life.
We must not listen to the lies of the enemy, my friend. God’s plans for our lives are full of hope, love, joy, peace, abundance, life, freedom, victory, and miracles. With Christ in us, our lives on Earth have the power to change other people’s eternities.
We, as God’s children, must not become weary in doing good.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” -Galatians 6:9
Let’s get back to dreaming God-sized dreams. Let’s get back to praying fervently and passionately. Let’s get back to spending time with God each and every day. Let’s get back to giving encouragement in various forms. Let’s get back to having our priorities in order.
What are some things you need to rearrange in your life?
Please listen to me, friend. You are carrying more than what God intends for you to carry. Your weaknesses can be your strengths whenever you give them over to God. I do not write to you as having everything figured out. What I do know is that Jesus plus nothing is more than what I need. Christ alone is my deepest desire, greatest love, best friend, faithful listener, generous giver, and abounding in peace Father.
God wants us to live in Him which results in living with the fruits of His Spirit. If you are looking for love, accept God. If you are looking for peace, accept God. If you are looking for joy, you are only going to find it in Christ.
On my own, friend, I am weak and broken. Every breath I breathe, I need Jesus. We all need Him to be what we could never be on our own. He is perfect.
In the words of Micah Tyler, “I don’t want to trade God’s plan for something familiar.” I encourage you to go listen to his song Different.
Let’s remember that only in God are we going to find all we are searching for and all we need.
I love you, brother or sister in Christ, and I am praying God continues to finish His perfect work in your life!
