“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”-Matthew 6:33
What is the desire of your heart today? Is it a relationship, friendship, or an answer to prayer? Are you spending more time thinking of that one thing rather than seeking God about it?
Having patience and exercising trust while waiting for my future husband is something I struggle with. I’m the type of person who wants to have all of the details written out, but God doesn’t work that way.
Jesus knows how much we, humans, can handle. He also knows what’s best and He already knows our futures. Therefore, why do we worry so much? We shouldn’t try to make things happen on our own. When we do, our plans usually leave us in worst states than what we thought we were before.
I encourage you to keep waiting and trusting God with your desires. We have to seek Jesus first and have Him as our top priority before we can handle the good and exciting plans He has for our lives. Remember that God’s plans are always better than our own. Let’s seek Jesus with everything we have and make Him the one true desire of our hearts.
